The most commonly reported figure for the cost of advertising in this year's Super Bowl was $3 million, and the ratings show that 111 million people watched the game. Assuming all of those people saw any particular ad, the cost-per-thousand impressions (CPM) works out to $27.03.
With several media products having a CPM of less than $5, outdoor advertising could take that $3 million and give you constant exposure for an entire year.
